Utopians

Utopians tells the story of Roger, a yoga teacher, and his daughter Zoe, who returns home from the military. Zoe's relationship with her girlfriend Maya, who is allegedly schizophrenic, complicates their family dynamics. Roger's attempts to support Zoe while disapproving of her choices lead to tension and personal struggles, particularly as his yoga classes suffer from his distraction.

The film takes a deeper dive into the trio's lives when they accept a live-in renovation job in a Brooklyn home, provided by Roger's friend Morris. This arrangement offers them a temporary escape from societal pressures and allows them to confront their pasts while navigating their present circumstances.
