VH1 Rock Honors

The VH1 Rock Honors were held annually from 2006 to 2008, featuring performances and tributes to rock music's most influential bands. Each show typically included modern artists paying homage to classic acts, followed by performances from the honorees themselves. The inaugural event in 2006 featured notable musicians including Brian May, Joe Elliott, Roger Taylor, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer, and Dave Grohl.

Although the event had a brief run, it left a significant mark on the rock music landscape. Directed by David Mallet and produced by Paul Flattery, the ceremony honored the contributions of rock and metal legends. The 2006 show set the tone for future events, celebrating the legacy of rock music while highlighting contemporary artists' interpretations of classic hits.
