Vidyapati

The film tells the story of King Shiva Singha and his love for his wife, alongside the court poet Bidyapati's arrival at the royal court. Bidyapati, portrayed by Pahadi Sanyal, is accompanied by his follower Anuradha, played by Kanan Devi. The narrative takes a turn when Queen Laxmi, played by Chhaya Devi, finds herself falling in love with the poet, leading to tension in the royal household.

As the king's health declines, he becomes consumed by neglecting his duties, which prompts Anuradha to remind him that true love does not require reciprocation. This emotional turmoil intensifies as the queen grapples with her feelings, aided by the scheming prime minister who fears the impact of Bidyapati's poetry on the king's well-being. Vidyapati weaves a rich tapestry of romance and drama, reflecting the complexities of love and loyalty.
