Water Boy

This film tells the story of Barakat, an honest elder in the village who opposes the Boat Shopkeeper's smuggling of harmful goods. His only ally is Ramses, a small boy with a fictional name, who faces the challenges of village life alongside his family. The narrative unfolds as filmmakers arrive to shoot a film, casting Ramses's father, Safar, in a lead role, complicating their lives further.

As the plot progresses, Ramses's mother, Salima, tries to persuade both Safar and Ramses to leave for the city, highlighting the conflict between rural roots and urban opportunities.
