Weaving Girl

The story follows Li Li, an intelligent young woman working in a mill in Xi'an. As she navigates the complexities of her life, her husband faces unemployment after being laid off from the same company. With a small son named Bing Bing, Li Li's situation worsens when she is diagnosed with acute leukemia, leading to tough choices regarding her treatment and family finances.

Li Li's quest for freedom and answers takes her to Beijing, where she seeks to reconnect with a past love rejected by her parents. This journey reflects the emotional and societal pressures faced by individuals in contemporary China.
