Wenn Papa auf der Matte steht

The film follows the story of Danyal, a widower who is concerned about his daughter Jila, despite her independence. When Danyal can't reach her by phone, he travels from Kitzingen to Berlin with two friends, Markus and Tobi, who also have daughters in the city. Their plan to check on their daughters takes a humorous turn as they realize they know little about their lives.

As the trio interacts with their daughters, conflicts arise that reveal deeper issues. Jila distances herself from Danyal, while Tilda grapples with her father's high expectations, and Hanna confronts Markus about a secret marriage. The 89-minute runtime allows for a compact exploration of family dynamics, showcasing the struggles between generations.
