The story is set in Zhulin Village, where the establishment of a bamboo weaving cooperative brings a wave of visitors, inspectors, and tourists. This influx leads to a chaotic environment filled with frequent quarrels and challenges for the cafeteria manager, Xiao Wangfa. His struggles to manage the demands of visitors and the pressure from the village's leaders create a narrative rich in both humor and hardship.
