Windfall (2002) has this gritty vibe that captures the underbelly of casino life, you know? The pacing feels a bit off at times, but it adds to the tension, especially during the heist sequences. Ace and Scratch are kind of an odd duo—there’s a rough charm to their characters that keeps you hooked. The dynamics between them and the casino exec, Amber, create a nice layer of conflict, especially with the head of security lurking about, clearly not thrilled with the situation. The practical effects, while not groundbreaking, serve the action well enough. It’s one of those films that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but has enough substance to warrant a few revisits. Definitely has its quirks.
