Wintering in Jakobsfeld

The film follows two boys, Milan and Rasa, who are sent from a partisan squad to a village for the winter. As Rasa falls ill, Milan takes on work as a servant in the home of Jakob Jerih, a German villager. Despite the dangers, Milan secretly cares for Rasa, hiding him in a nearby swamp and later in Jerih's stable.

The tension escalates as Jerih, impressed by Milan's diligence, considers adopting him. However, this plan is thwarted by Jerih's cousin, who has his own motives. The film captures the struggle of the boys against the backdrop of war, highlighting the complexities of human relationships during tumultuous times.
