Wolf Island has this gritty vibe, you know? The action is raw, fairly unrefined, but it fits the crime-mystery theme well. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times - it’s almost like they were trying to build tension but got lost along the way. The performances, though, are where it really stands out; there's a certain authenticity to the characters, like you can believe they exist outside the film. The practical effects in the action scenes have a certain charm, too, reminiscent of older grindhouse flicks. It's definitely not polished, but that gives it a unique character.
