Yafa, Forgiveness

The film follows Demba, an African professor who flees his oppressive homeland seeking asylum in Paris. His journey intersects with Lucien, a Caribbean policeman who embodies the voice of the dominant class. Despite their different backgrounds, they must navigate their contrasting experiences and perspectives in a foreign city.

"Yafa, Forgiveness" also introduces Welcome, a Baule Komian who facilitates the meetings between Demba and Lucien. The film thoughtfully examines their interactions and the societal structures that shape their lives. Through this unique narrative, viewers gain insight into the complexities of identity, migration, and understanding in a multicultural environment.
