Yankee Pluck

The story follows John Pollard, a man who once enjoyed wealth but now lives in reduced circumstances in Washington, D.C. with his daughter Polly. Despite their financial struggles, Polly navigates high society and attracts the attention of multimillionaire George Singleton and Lieutenant Richard Travers.

Tensions rise as Pollard attempts to persuade Polly to marry Singleton to resolve their debts, while she initially opts for Travers.
