Yes Man is a quirky take on self-improvement and spontaneity. Jim Carrey, in his usual energetic style, plays Carl, whose life feels like it’s in neutral. The film uses a lighthearted tone, but digs into some deeper themes about saying yes and opening up to life, which feels refreshing. There are some nice visual gags and solid supporting performances, especially from Zooey Deschanel—her chemistry with Carrey is palpable. The pacing is breezy; it zips along without dragging, which fits the whole 'say yes' concept. It’s got that feel-good vibe, and while it might tread familiar ground, it stands out for its oddball charm and genuine moments.
