You Dance with the Summer

The story follows Shinpei, portrayed by Junpei Mizobata, who aspires to be a professional cameraman. His life takes a turn when he learns of his mother's hospitalization, prompting a return to Kochi after five years. There, he discovers that Sakura, the younger sister of his ex-girlfriend, is suffering from a terminal illness.

Sakura, played by Ayane Omori, harbors a strong desire to participate in the Yosakoi festival, a significant cultural event. This aspiration ties back to a promise Shinpei made to her years ago, which fuels her determination to fight through her illness. As the festival approaches, Shinpei resolves to honor that promise by dancing alongside her, bringing both characters to a pivotal moment in their lives.
