The story follows Antonis and Marianna, who are in love and eager to marry despite their age. Their primary concern is how to inform their children, Elina and Giorgos, who are studying abroad. When Elina sends a telegram announcing her return to Greece, Antonis and Marianna hope to introduce her to Marianna in a bid to ease into the conversation about their plans. However, they are unaware that Elina is coming home with her own partner, George.
