Your Contemporary

The story follows Vasily Gubanov, the son of the hero from the film “The Communist.” He arrives in Moscow to confront government officials about the ongoing construction of a chemical plant. Although he is the project’s author, he is deeply concerned about the implications of its completion, given the substantial state investment and the lives at stake.

As part of the Коммунист (коллекция) series, Your Contemporary presents a critical view of Soviet society and the challenges faced by individuals within it. The film features a strong cast, including Igor Vladimirov, Nikolai Plotnikov, and Lyudmila Maksakova, among others, who bring depth to the narrative's exploration of moral dilemmas and civic engagement.
