The story revolves around pharmacy manager Sychra, who discovers a grave mistake made by his staff when peroxide is mixed into an ointment instead of distilled water. As he calls his employees back to the pharmacy during the night shift, the narrative unfolds to reveal that four sick children have already received the defective medicine. Although the mistake does not pose a health risk, the emotional weight of the situation is felt by all involved.
