Zodiac Killers

The film follows Ben Lee, a Hong Kong student, who strikes up a friendship with his classmate Chang Chih from mainland China while they both study in Japan. Ben is portrayed as unmotivated, focusing more on financial gain than his studies. In contrast, Chih is depicted as searching for his childhood sweetheart whenever he meets someone from his homeland.

Another key character, Ming, also hails from Hong Kong. He seeks to improve his social standing by becoming involved with a bar hostess and owner named Yuriko. His aspirations lead him to aim for a connection with Yakuza leader Yamada Ishikawa through marriage, highlighting the lengths characters go to in pursuit of status and acceptance.
