Zombie Night (2003) has this gritty, raw feel, much like the underground horror flicks from that era. It's set against the backdrop of nuclear fallout, which adds a layer of social commentary that a lot of zombie flicks just gloss over. The pacing is a bit uneven, with some lulls that might test your patience, but then it hits hard with practical effects that are surprisingly decent for an indie production. The performances are a mixed bag; some actors shine in moments of desperation, while others feel a bit wooden. What really stands out is the atmosphere—there's a sense of dread that permeates every scene, making you aware of how fragile human survival can be. It's definitely not your usual zombie fare.
