Zootopia 2 picks up where the first left off, diving deeper into the vibrant world of anthropomorphic animals. Directed by Jared Bush, it has this continued charm but explores some darker themes with a light-hearted touch. The animation is as detailed as ever, with new settings that feel refreshing and alive. Judy and Nick’s chemistry remains a highlight, and their adventure takes them to unexpected corners of Zootopia, adding to the depth of the universe. There’s a good mix of humor and heart, but it feels a bit more mature, which is interesting. It’s nice to see sequels that don’t just rehash the formula but expand the narrative instead.
