The film centers on twelve-year-old Ariana, who endures bullying and isolation in an orphanage. With her extraordinary magical gift, she longs to uncover her lineage and find a place she can truly call home. Her life changes dramatically when the old alchemist Archivald invites her to join a school for alchemists.

At the school, Ariana meets young alchemists Lora and Mertur, who help her prepare for entrance exams. The narrative unfolds as she gains not only knowledge but also friendships that will become crucial to her journey. As secrets of the past come to light, Ariana faces challenges that test her courage and determination, especially with the looming threat of the witch Murien.
